Multi-million Euro Grants received for machine perfusion clinical trials

The German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft – DFG) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung – BMBF) granted 3.9 Million Euros to our group for the conduction of the HOPE-NMP and NMP-DBD multicenter randomized controlled clinical trials in human liver- and kidney transplantation. #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #organrecoveryunit #machineperfusion

HOPE-ECD DBD trial published

First level Ib evidence in human DBD liver transplantation for ex-vivo machineperfusion, demonstrating less donor allograft injury & fewer postoperative complications, when treated with hypothermic oxygenated #machineperfusion.
